While the game won’t see any sweeping changes to visual fidelity or gameplay mechanics, Title Update 1.6.0 for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will make the game run in 60 FPS in backward compatibility mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles. Ubisoft announced the change on Twitter via the official Assassin’s Creed account. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, originally released in 2018, will be updated for the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
For the most part, this includes popular titles like Destiny 2, though plenty of other games have received enhancements.
With the slow churning out of triple-a games the past year or so, developers have turned to updating their previous titles with better performance on the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
